On the weekend our menagerie grew a little bigger with the addition of a new member to the family... Everyone.. meet "Astro".. a Papillion we picked up (well I should say Leigh picked up cos it's her dog!!) from just outside of Warwick.. it was about a 2hr drive out there, we stayed for about 2hrs chatting and checking out the two available puppies.

got a few screenshots of my mac finally.. have been using it heaps more at home and i'm really starting to enjoy leopard.. just need to make more use of the virtual desktops, etc

along with a few other people.. in the BDO kendall great brisbane bike ride.. starting at southbank we did a 35km loop via st lucia, indro, yerongapilly and west end. for the mass participation event you got some fruit, powerade drinks and a tshirt at the end.''

being big fans of bulmers and magners cider we thought we'd try something different when we say the local had a few different ciders advertised..

one was from  little creatures called pipsqueak, and the other was from the UK called ASPALL.

The ASPALL was my favourite.. the pipsqueak has a strong flavour.

well the smashing pumpkins were in town for the V-festival recently so I was lucky enough to get tixx for my brithday.. was an ok gig.. i reckon they played with peoples minds a bit with the lead singer goin of his nut at the crowd and then playin heaps of crap covers..

it was a long show.. and they played a lot of noise.. i must be getting old!

tales of our culinary expeditions and exploits.

for the 2nd time in as many days we are surprised by the quality of the meals that come from the bistro at the arana hills leagues club. its been pretty good lately with a caesar salad and last night the rough crumbed calimari.. was good stuff!! i left my fone at home so no pix of the calimari but it wasnt chewy at all..
